    NSMD2

    We are presenting another non-invasive, extremely low frequency, neuronal stimulation medical device technology.

    NSMD2, neuronal stimulation medical device number 2, is designed for the treatment of sleep disorders. The device has been on the market for the past 5 years and has received consistent sales and income.

    NSMD2 mimics the brain’s normal pattern in falling asleep. NSMD2 is battery powered, lightweight, wearable device. Placing the device over the brachial plexus, a nerve bundle in the upper chest, utilizes the body’s peripheral nervous system to transmit signal to the brain.
    More Details

    Current status

    1. NSMD2 has agreed to license its technology in Singapore, through kimbocorp, in order to scale sales and marketing and explore manufacturing opportunities in Asia.
    2. kimbocorp is currently setting up the business and conducting due diligence on the founders and technology.

    Near-term goals

    1. NSMD2 needs to be ingrained in Singapore's Startup scene, in order to complete the Seed funding round, for the purpose of funding sales and marketing efforts in Asia.
    2. NSMD2 can be supported by Enterprise Singapore, which will help Singapore incorporated companies with funding supporting to expand market presence overseas.

    Medium-term goals

    1. NSMD2 needs to complete the Series A funding round to capture significant market share and reduce cost of production in Asia.
    2. NSMD2 needs to secure strategic investors whom will take the technology to a wider presence in a specific demographic or location.

    Long-term goals

    1. NSMD2 needs to complete Series B funding to acquire like-minded technologies to create parallel products so as to be the number 1 sleep disorder technology in the World.
    2. NSMD2 needs to be a public listed company after 3 years of domiciling in Singapore.

    Executive Summary of NSMD2

    1. NSMD2 is a non-invasive, low frequency, neuronal stimulated, precision medical device technology;
    2. NSMD2 is cleared by the United States Food & Drug Administration for sale in the U.S. and carries the United Laboratories (UL) Safety Certification.
    3. NSMD2 mimics the slow oscillation waves or spindles, as captured during normal electroencephalogram (EEG). This encourages the brain to pick up normal cycles of sleep;
    4. The device has a number of competitive advantages over current modalities;
      1. FDA Cleared
      2. No Prescription needed
      3. Selling directly
      4. Safety certified
      5. Cost effective
      6. Non-drug
      7. Portable and convenient
      8. Ease of use
      9. Weak field strength
      10. Natural treatment
    5. The NSMD2 is lightweight and wearable. It can be placed over the brachial plexus, a nerve bundle in the upper chest, utilizes the body’s peripheral nervous system to transmit the signal the brain.

    Market potential

    1. In an article published by the U.S, Department of Health and Human Services, they reported that; “Sleep deficiency is linked to many chronic health problems, including heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, obesity, and depression."
    2. Sleep deficiency also is associated with an increased risk of injury in adults, teens, and children. For example, driver sleepiness (not related to alcohol) is responsible for serious car crash injuries and death. In the elderly, sleep deficiency is linked to an increased risk of falls and broken bones.
    3. A common myth is that people can learn to get by on little sleep with no negative effects, however research shows that getting enough quality sleep at the right times is vital for mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety;
    4. Lack of sleep is a drag of up to US$138 billion (S$196 billion) a year on Japan's economy, or about 2.9 per cent of gross domestic product, the study found. Singapore is 3rd behind Japan and India in Asia for sleep deprivation.

    Market Strategy
    1. NSMD2 has been available in the US market since 2015 and has shown  consistent growth and acceptance as a treatment for sleep disorders. A number of high-profile health and fitness experts, clinicians and biohackers are now actively promoting the benefits of NSMD2.
    2. With capital contributions to the marketing budget, NSMD2 will have the resources to take this technology to the next level of marketing and distribution.
    3. Physician education is a priority.  We need to educate the almost 40,000 neurologists and neurofeedback practitioners in Asia to recommend NSMD2 to the clients.
    4. Direct consumer sales is also a priority. We need to expand e-commerce marketing to target as many consumers in Asia as possible.
    5. Attendance at bio-hacking conferences will raise awareness to institutional investors.
